On and after January 1, 2005, or as specified otherwise in Section 25214.10.1 of the Health and Safety Code, a person may not sell or offer for sale in this state a new or refurbished covered electronic device unless the device is labeled with the name of the manufacturer or the manufacturer's brand label, so that it is readily visible.
