Schools established pursuant to this article may be operated on a full-time placement care basis and facilities may be provided for children in attendance to live at such schools if such arrangements are deemed appropriate. The county superintendent of schools maintaining such schools may provide necessary transportation to the pupils in attendance, if full-time placement care is not deemed in the best interest of the pupil.
