  • (a) In calculating the amount of aid to which an assistance unit is entitled in accordance with Section 11320.15, the maximum aid payment, adjusted to reflect the removal of the adult or adults from the assistance unit, shall be reduced by the gross income of the adult or adults removed from the assistance unit, averaged over the quarter pursuant to Sections 11265.2 and 11265.3, and less any amounts exempted pursuant to Section 11451.5. Aid may be provided in the form of cash or vouchers, at the option of the county.

    (b) (1) A county shall comply with the quarterly reporting provisions of this section until the county certifies to the director that semiannual reporting has been implemented in the county.

    (2) This section shall become inoperative on October 1, 2013, and, as of January 1, 2014, is repealed, unless a later enacted statute that is enacted before January 1, 2014, deletes or extends the dates on which it becomes inoperative and is repealed.
