The qualifications for a dental hygienist, dental hygienist in alternative practice, or dental hygienist in extended functions shall be a valid license issued by the Dental Hygiene Committee of California or by the Dental Board of California and either a health and development credential, a standard designated services credential with a specialization in health, or a services credential with a specialization in health.
